About Our Information
Our data is compiled from a variety of sources including Yellow pages, Business White pages, Local courthouses, Telephone verification,
United States Post Office address file and other proprietary sources. The variety of these sources ensures the width of our coverage and
our verification process ensures accuracy of the information.
Credit.net's credit scoring is based on demographic factors of a business and also on the industry within which a particular
business lies. Some of the demographic factors we consider are - Employee size, Years in business, Revenue size, Lines of business. We
also factor in qualitative information such as Bankruptcy information, Public filings and Judgment & Liens information.
Our credit score indicates "Ability to Pay". Our reports are ideal to make judgments for low risk and lower dollar transactions.
We attempt to telephone verify every business in our Business database to deliver the most accurate and up to date information. The phone
verification is on an annual basis. InfoUSA Inc, the parent company of Credit.net is the only company in the data management
industry that telephone verifies every business in its database.
Some facts to consider while using our Credit Scores:
- Institutions denoted by credit rating code "I" do not get the standard industrial credit rating score. A majority of the companies
in this classification are government agencies or non-profit organizations and hence do not conform to typical business profit and
loss accounting methodology.
- Credit scores may be unavailable at times due to recency in existence of a particular company to our database. These companies will
generally be rated as "U" in terms of credit score.
- In the event that a company has recently been added to the database the credit score may not accurately reflect the "ability to pay".
You should refer to additional sources of information before declining to engage in business with the company.
